Best Warzone Settings for Performance and FPS

If you want your Warzone to run as well as possible, make sure you change the best settings for performance and FPS!

Warzone is a great battle royale experience, but it also drains huge resources. Whether you play on a PC or a console, you will always feel better after modifying your settings.

If you’re a console gamer, there’s certainly little you can do to improve the overall gaming experience. That is, until the next -generation Warzone cover for the PS5 and Xbox Series X drops!

It’s a shame that Warzone on PC has so many advantages over consoles. But hopefully, many of these issues will be a thing of the past.

And for those of you using a PC, here are the best Warzone settings to improve your performance in Season 3.

Best Warzone PC Settings in Season 3

Thanks to a new upload by Warzone’s P4wnyhof ‘weapon doctor’, we now know the best settings possible in Warzone Season 3.

Field of View

Console players have demanded a War zone FOV settings for over a year, but PC gamers should be careful about setting this too high. 90 degrees FOV is the best setting for performance, but 110 is also an interesting spot.

Make sure you ADS Field of View settings are also Affected, to keep things consistent.

Display Mode

Make sure you turn on Warzone Full screen modes for optimal FPS and in -game performance. However, on certain systems, Full Screen Without Borders will perform well.

If you’re trying Without Borders, make sure you’re logged into your computer’s Control Panel and make sure VSYNC is turned off for your entire PC. Sometimes not doing so will lead to weird stutters, especially when a tab comes out or when you open a second window.

Refresh Rate and Resolution

In short, you Refresh Rate should be set to things that your monitor can handle. If you’re using a 144hz monitor, make sure you increase your Refresh Rate to match that figure or you won’t benefit from a higher FPS.

By Render Resolutionyou want this number to be at 100. However, if your Render Resolution does not match the Display Resolution below, go to the Control Panel and turn off the DSR Factor in the 3D settings.

Custom Framework Limits

Although it is tempting to limit you Custom Frame Rate to match your Refresh Rate, this is actually not a good idea. P4wnyhof insists that changing the setting to Unlimited is your best bet.

Due to the inefficient Warzone limitation, placing a limit on your Framerate will lead to a less smooth overall experience.

NVIDIA settings

Next, disable NVIDIA Highlights. Unless you rely on the system to create content, it’s best to disable it and improve overall performance.

When it comes to NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency however, if you have the option, make sure you set this to Enabled + Boost.

Details and Texture

Streaming Quality shall be set to normal. Texture Resolution also it should be common to keep Warzone looking good without using too many resources.

Anisotropic Texture Filter can be set to high. This improves the visuals for a very small FPS effect that is worth the added exchange.

Particle Quality should be set to high as well, as it prevents the object from becoming too blurred at a distance.

Bullet Impact & Spray won’t affect your overall FPS, so you can let it go. However, if you prefer to see less clutter in your vision, you can disable it.

Disables Tessellation will actually reveal the player model more easily. However, this game looks better with Tessellation set to All, so choose your options.

Texture streaming on demand can be disabled to increase FPS and input lag.

Shadows and Lighting

Shadow Map Resolution and Particle Illumination shall both be set to normal in Warzone. Doing so will help the enemy player model emerge in a slightly better game.

Meanwhile, both Cache Spot Shadowsand Sun Shadow Cache should be disabled for maximum FPS. Of course, while it’s fun to have it, turn it off DirectX Raytracing as wellas this has a huge impact on your game performance.

Ambient occlusion on Disabled will again allow you to see the player model more easily and improve the smoothness of your Warzone.

But with Screen Space Reflection, you make another choice. For best performance, disable it completely – but for a smoother and better looking game you can leave it on Low.

DLSS and Post -Processing Effects

If you can take advantage of Warzone’s new DLSS settings in Season 3, your time is worth it! However, not everyone has the resources to run NVIDIA DLSS now.

Moreover, there is a big issue with using NVIDIA DLSS in Warzone right now.

If you can’t use DLSS, P4wnyhof recommends switching Anti-aliasing to either Die for best performance, or SMAA 1X to look prettier.

When it comes to Dynamic Resolutionleave this setting on, but think carefully about yourself Target Framerate below. You need to set this figure to the minimum FPS you tend to get in the game for the smoothest results.

NVIDIA Game Filter

Although Warzone has visibility problems, players are always looking for ways to overcome those problems. Recently, we discovered the best NVIDIA filters for Warzone Season 3!

Using these filters will lead to a drop in performance, but P4wnyhof insists this won’t happen if you only use the settings in your NVIDIA Control Panel.

Windows settings

Outside of Warzone, P4wnyhof recommends keeping you Windows Game Mode enabled. On the other hand, be sure to turn around Xbox Game Bar turned off.
